Glamping Holiday Guildford
Escape to the country in style! Glamping Holiday is based in the rural idyll of Alfold on the Surrey and West Sussex border, offering a luxury UK campsite. We are positioned between Horsham, West Sussex and Guildford, Surrey, on the Springbok Estate, where you can forget about camping, this is all about glamping. We have 5 bell tents and 1 yurt on our 1 acre field. We aim to give you an outdoor holiday experience that is stress free, comfortable and fun. You can choose from a few days to a longer break. Turning the camping experience on it’s head, you can arrive at your tent, relaxed in the knowledge that it’s all set up and enjoy the benefits of being in the beautiful South East of England.
Glamping Holiday attracts couples, families, groups, walkers, cyclists, bird watchers, non campers and young and old alike. Lots of our weekends are booked out an exclusive hire basis by friends/family groups and we find the set up works extremely well.
THE TENTS – Each tent sleeps up to 5 people therefore we can accomodate a maximum of 30 guests on site.
We have 5 x 5 metre bell tents on the field. Your tent has air beds with all the linen, towels and blankets provided plus lots of personalised decorative touches. The yurt is kitted out in the same way however it offers slightly more space than the bell tents with a proper floor and the addition of a woodburner. A kit list detailing everything that is provided on site is sent out with booking confirmation.
FACILITIES
There are fire pits which you can cook on and a picnic table/chairs outside of each tent. We supply a complimentary sack of wood per tent on arrival. There is the option to purchase more during your stay if required at the cost of £8.00 per sack. Firelighters and kindling are included.
We have 2 very well-equipped kitchen areas where you will find pots, pans, utensils, cutlery etc. There is a two-burner gas ring in each kitchen and we have one BBQ on the field. The kitchens have hot and cold (drinking) water. There is 1 double socket in the new kitchen for charging phones etc along with an electric kettle. We do provide you with commercial grade cool boxes (1 per tent) for keeping food cold. Ice blocks are replenished daily. Several outdoor games are also provided for kids and big kids alike! You just need to think about food and activities.
If you have any particular requirements, please let us know before you arrive. We will then be able to do our best to make sure that your stay is as comfortable as possible.
FOOD AND CATERING
A complimentary breakfast hamper is supplied for your first morning (bacon, eggs, bread and milk.) If you have any dietary requirements then we can substitute items. Marshmallows are also provided for toasting on your fire pit.
Bring any food that you need or take a trip to the shops when you get here. You could also get your favourite supermarket to deliver! Alternatively, why not book some dishes from our menu at the bottom of the page? For those looking to book the whole site we have a group menu that we can email across to you upon request. There is also a local pub within walking distance or a very short drive from the field.
SHOWERS AND TOILETS
Glamping guests have their own portable toilet/shower block, located on the glamping field. The unit consists of 2 flushable toilets and 1 electric shower on the ladies side and a flushable toilet and electric shower on the mens side. This facility is for the sole use of our guests.
SHOPS
The nearest shop is Marks and Spencer at Alfold Petrol station, a 5 minute drive from the fied. For those wanting a bigger supermarket, Cranleigh is the nearest village and a 10 minute drive away. You will find a Sainburys, Co-Op and M+S food there.
ACTIVITIES
There is a games box on the field along with badminton and a ping pong table. For those looking to venture offsite there are endless footpaths to explore straight from the glamping field on foot or bicycle. We are right next Sidney Wood, part of the forestry comisssion and the Wey and Arun canal path is easily accessed a short distance from the field.

- Fishing is available on the estate for a small fee. Guests must bring their own rods/equipment.
- Bikes can be hired locally. Please enquire for further information.
- National Trust Petworth House and Park. Petworth is a very pretty town to explore
- National Trust Winkworth Arboretum
- Fishers Farm a very popular local family farm attraction and only a 10 minute drive away
- RHS Wisley Gardens
- Coastal towns of Brighton, Worthing and the Witterings
- Theme parks of Chessington, Lego Land and Thorpe Park are about an hour away
- Holmbush Events offer archery, paintballing, axe throwing plus lots more!
- For those looking for watersports we would recommend Southwater Watersports or Pulborough Paddles.

Minimum stay of 2 nights.
There is no charge for children in travel cots (not provided) however they must be included in overall numbers.
Please note that there is no electricity inside the tents and regrettably, no pets are allowed
