Garthside is a small farm near Brampton, Cumbria. It is a very special place set in a naturally beautiful and incredibly historic landscape within close proximity to the Unesco World Heritage Site of Hadrian’s Wall, Birdoswald and Housesteads Roman Forts. We are approximately 150m from Hadrian’s Wall Path and within easy walking distance of Lanercost Priory.
Spectacular views surround the farmstead with the North Pennine Fells to the south and the Northern Lake District Fells to the south west. We have embarked on a project to enhance the natural environment at Garthside with the planting of trees and native meadow grasses, hedgerows and wildflowers. We often enjoy the sight of Roe deer and other wildlife and are always thrilled by the abundant bird life.
