Mandy and Edward at West Hale Gate Glamping in East Yorkshire offer luxury Shepherds Huts in the peace and quiet of a rural farm setting, half a mile from the village of Burton Fleming. With a countryside location there is easy access to the coast and cities. Ideal for a short break or longer holiday, the Shepherds Huts offer a luxury glamping experience including private Hot Tubs. Optional extras can be also be tailored for couples wanting a romantic and private stay.
THE HUTS
THE LINCOLN LONGWOOL
Warm, cosy, spacious and furnished to a high standard this shepherds hut includes

- Relax and enjoy a BBQ or toast marshmallows over the fire pit
- Just metres away from the Shepherd’s Hut, you’ll find your very own luxury shower and toilet cabin, stocked with complimentary toiletries and towels and robes
THE BLUE TEXEL
Blue Texel is a traditionally styled cosy and warm shepherd’s hut. It is packed with character and charm, both inside and out and includes
- Dining area and bespoke handcrafted kitchen containing kettle, toaster, sink and fridge
- Emma Bridgewater crockery
- Log burning stove
- Double bed, which folds away into a comfortable sofa
- Complimentary tea coffee, milk etc. topped off with a complimentary bottle of fizz and homemade cake

THE SWALEDALE
A fully en suite shepherd’s hut designed and made by local master craftsman, Albert Thundercliffe, this hut is a work of art, as well as a fabulous place to stay, packed with character and charm both inside and out. The shepherds hut includes

- Dining and comfortable seating area
- Emma Bridgewater crockery
- Hand crafted double bed
- En suite shower room with heated towel rail and fluffy towels and robes

- Natural hazel fencing ensures your complete privacy, which doesn’t interfere with the uninterrupted views of the beautiful rolling Yorkshire Wolds
THE LAMBING SHED
The Lambing Shed is our large and airy rustic kitchen diner. It provides everything you could need to enhance your stay and is stocked daily with your inclusive continental breakfast, but has all the facilities for you to cook a ‘Full English’. Just let us know you want to upgrade your breakfast, (at an additional cost), and we’ll have all the ingredients ready for you…In the Lambing Shed you will also find

- Outdoor Pizza Oven
- Large table and benches covered in soft, luxurious fleeces
- Our ‘Corner Shop’ has basics and treats to buy, saving you a trip out to the shops
Whether you’re a group of friends or a couple, after a long day out enjoying yourself, you can relax in the cosy seating area next to the log burner and enjoy the roaring fire. All in all the perfect addition to your glamping experience.
We also have a giant swing in which to soak up some sunshine and relax
PERSONAL TOUCHES
Here at West Hale Gate Glamping our priority is our guests having a relaxing enjoyable stay and we will always try and ‘go the extra mile’ to ensure this. Please don’t hesitate to ask if there is anything we can do to enhance your stay. It may be something as simple as providing a gluten free breakfast, soya or alternative milks or, as per a previous guest’s suggestion, your own flip flops for use around the Jacuzzi and shower cabin. We might not always be able to accommodate requests, but we’ll always do our best.
CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST
Continental breakfast is provided in the Lambing Shed for you to warm up yourselves at a time to suit. For an additional charge of £10 per person per day you can order a DIY “Full Yorkshire” cooked breakfast (48 hours notice required). Fresh free range eggs from our chickens are provided daily and where possible everything else is sourced locally.
CAKE AND FIZZ
A homemade cake and a bottle of fizz will be waiting for you upon arrival.
BBQ PACKS
We can arrange for you to have a BBQ pack ready and waiting for you in the fridge (48 hours notice required).
