Go glamping and camping at Beech Estate Campsite in East Sussex. Explore the forest, relax around the campfire and sleep under the stars. Set within the edge of a beautiful 600-acre woodland near Battle, our off-grid campsite offers wild glamping among the trees from April to October. Our East Sussex campsite is located in the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) with the Sussex coast within easy reach.
At Beech Estate Campsite you will find:

ACCOMMODATION
Take it even easier with a stay in one of our ‘wild glamping’ Bell Tents or get away from it all by camping among the trees in the wonderful Beech Estate woodland. Beech Estate Campsite is off grid and has just 30 pitches in total. These include our Forest Tent Pitches, Faraway Pitches, and the Valley View Pitch for camping. Eight of these pitches have our pre-erected glamping bell tents set on them.
BELL TENTS
Perfect for families or couples are our spacious pre-erected bell tents, with beds and cooking equipment provided.
Two or three families can hire bell tents in the same area, or we are able to place extra bell tents up in this area to cater for up to five families. There are eight fully-furnished bell tents in total spread over our campsite.
More secluded bell tents can be requested when booking, although are subject to availability. We also have some bell tents located adjacent to tent pitches and a couple of the bell tents have room for friends to pitch right alongside.
We have a small number of Forest Tent Pitches suitable for the use of hammocks.
Our large five metre bell tent are 2.9 metres in height and located on a raised platform
Inside the bell tent we supply just about everything you will need including;
- Comfortable double bed
- Additional single adult and children beds as required
- Floor covering
- Wind-up lantern
- Kitchenware
- Kettle
- Tableware
- Cooking equipment
- Your own campfire, allocation of firewood, BBQ grill and utensils
- Picnic table and chairs, 25-litre drinking water container
GROUPS
We also have group glamping and camping combinations, mini group options and one larger group option. We only except family groups and unfortunately cannot cater for all adult groups. Please contact the office to for availability.
ECO FRIENDLY
Beech Estate Campsite is off-grid. We do not use any mains electricity at our camping site. Lighting in the facilities is provided by solar lamps, wind-up lanterns and low energy led battery units. We encourage you to experience a campfire – a renewable energy source for cooking and warmth. There is generally mobile and some 3G signal onsite, although it can be sporadic. We do however encourage campers to switch-off and minimise the use of devices.
