Sunny Seaside Strolls and Stylish Discoveries in Vibrant Brighton

Brighton, Sussex premier coastal  vibrant young city and otherwise known as London on Sea.  We took two trips to see what Brighton had to offer during both March and August and on both trips this hip city was sunny, atmospheric and full of fun.

We walked 30,000 steps spanning one end of the seafront at Hove to the far East of Brighton.  Along the promenade we encountered style, uniqueness, roller blading, beautiful sparkling seas, restaurants, bars and the fantastic Brighton pier.  Stopping for tasty tacos and beer we took in the interesting people and amazing weather.

A further walk down the promenade brought us to the Pier with retro rides such as The Helter Skeltor and The Ghost Train and a fun rollercoaster. We bought ourselves a donut with a little guilt but it was delicious!

Lunch was at our favourite casual eat at VIP Pizzas just off the end of the seafront. Casual authentic italian pizza and more!

After lunch we walked by the Royal Pavillion, such a spectacular site and then walking north up into the city we enjoyed shopping in the quaint Lanes and a walk around the white washed houses on the hill west to Hove. Back  The market and Lanes offers more interesting boutique shopping, cafes pubs, restaurants and foodie stores.  We didn’t have time to cover all of the sites but on another visit we should consider taking in…

The Brighton Wheel
The British Airways i360 tower
The Brighton Museum
The Brighton Dome
Preston Manor

In the evenings we ate at Ivy Asia which is a chain restaurant, not our first choice. They just opened in Brighton and although the decor was amazing the food very good service was questionable.  We always suggest eating at an independent if possible, that night we should have booked ahead as it was peak summer and Brighton was busy!  On subsequent visits we may consider for special occasions The Flint House, Terre a Terre for vegetarians, Riddle and Finns for seafood on the Beach or for a more casual eat the food hall at Shelter Hall on the promenade.

So much to explore, so many steps in fabulous Brighton!
